T I M B E R R R R R !!!
So the good news is that Bill was feeling well enough to go to work yesterday and to attend Neptune’s CHICAGO last night - what a wicked show - a must see!!! It was so late by the time the show was over that it was too dark to see the progress at the house last night so we went up this morning to take a look.
The bad news is that we lost a tree during the very strong wind and rain yesterday and last night. Now, it wasn’t a particularly beautiful tree, but it was the tree that the temporary power was attached to… which - “like the knee bone to the leg bone” - was connected to the power pole. Since there wasn’t THAT much slack in the line, our power pole has been pulled over across the drive way too!
Amazing that the big cement truck could get underneath! I guess that’s the REAL news… today, we’re getting foundation poured in the basement and in the garage - another biggie truck Alex would like to drive!
